AEM Build

The award-winning redesign centered on a minimalist strategy and visual impact that prioritized clarity, hierarchy, and intent. By reducing unnecessary promotional elements and streamlining page structure, a more intuitive experience was created. The optimized homepage helps users quickly understand GMC's vehicle lineup and available shopping pathways to lead them further into the site. Every section was evaluated against user needs and business objectives to ensure content earned its place on the page.

Brand Library

After finalizing the updated styles within the Figma library, we transitioned the design system into site-ready components and patterns to establish a cohesive foundation across the entire GMC website. To introduce the refreshed brand experience, the homepage was selected as the first page to showcase the updated styles and components. As the most visible and high-impact entry point, the homepage served as a proof of concept. The new design system demonstrates how modernized styling, accessible design, and consistent components can come together to present an elevated brand.

Award-Winning Homepage

The key objectives of the redesign was to drive users deeper into the shopping funnel and portraying GMC as a premium brand. Through thoughtful information architecture, the homepage was optimized to encourage high-value behaviors such as exploring vehicle models, comparing offers, and owner-related resources. The result was a more streamlined and visually compelling experience that balanced brand storytelling with measurable business outcomes.

Research & Results

To validate the updated homepage met both user needs and business goals, qualitative testing was conducted. The user research focused on visual design, usability, content comprehension, and navigational clarity. In collaboration with the strategy team, the objectives were clearly defined into measurable data points.

Overall, the homepage exceeded expectations, particularly in sections focused on exploration, comparison, and next steps in the purchase journey. The experience reinforced or improved their perception of the GMC brand, aligning the refreshed styling with expectations of a strong, contemporary automotive brand.
